Hasankeyf / Şeyh Hosal Bridges

The resemblance to the Ceziret Ibn Umar bridges over the Batman-Malabadi and the Tigris due to the reliefs on the historical Hasankeyf Bridge is the most important evidence that strengthens its likelihood of becoming an Artuqid. There is no clear information about the date of construction since it does not have an inscription. Only the medieval historians, Ibn Havkal, noted that the bridge was built during the reign of Fahreddin Karaaslan in the 12th century. When the bridge was destroyed, Ayyubid and Akkoyunlu people underwent serious repairs.
